I’ve started this journey – well, I started it a while ago – but will be more conscious, perhaps of what it is I am engaged in, and what it is I will discover….and I do expect to discover something!

I have alway been ‘creative’, looking at the world around me and trying to capture it through drawing. It’s a visceral feeling, holding a pen or pencil in my hand, and touching or rubbing or scratching the page, trying to feel my way over contours, and enter the three dimensional wold around me onto a flat page in a sketch book. It’s an exciting feeling, half conscious of what is before me, and also conscious of my own reactions……is the surface rugged, does it flow, are the features of this landscape – or this statue, this figure – beautiful, how do they fit together?
