I have organised to meet and chat with each of the applicants for my open call exhibition. I wanted to get to know each artist and discover whether it would be a good working relationship (on both sides) leading up to the exhibition.

I really enjoyed this experience as it gave me the opportunity to meet new artists, as well as catching up with ones I already knew – it also gave me the chance to try out some new cafés!

Meeting with the artists additionally gave me further insight into each of their practices, and a better understanding of the artworks they want to create for Teen Dream; I am hoping to have a diverse range of mediums for the exhibition to keep it exciting.

After selecting the artists, I am going to meet with them during the production of their work to discuss their progression, and how they are finding the project.
